Before you begin working with
us, we suggest you gather necessary materials so we can begin
working efficiently as soon as you are ready.

Decide what elements (i.e. colors, shapes, and text) will
be included in your design
Consider what media the product will most likely appear
Editing and Proofing
Send a copy of the original
electronic file via the internet or mail us a duplicate hard copy
Submit a copy of a hand
written draft or digital file to be recreated. Roughly display
the location of critical graphic or text elements
Email any appropriate graphics or typed text if available
to eliminate time and typing error
Be sure to include chart data with the draft
Send us a digital image
file or send us a duplicate photo by mail or courier
Consider what medium the finished product will most likely
Request a Quote
Try to define the job in detail so we
can fix an accurate bid. This tends to work well since there are
no surprises for our customers or for us. Remember, if you change
the scope of the job at any time, you may incur additional costs.
B.Busbey & Associates can either fax a quote you or send it
as a .PDF (Acrobat Reader) file attachment by e-mail. When you
have decided to work with us, you sign the quote and fax it back
to us. A payment for half of the total job for design projects
and full payment for all other types of services is due prior
to the draft phase.
Sending Files and/or Materials
You can send relevant materials to us
using the following methods:

Be sure to include your contact information
and we will notify you as soon as we receive the material and
also let you know when we will begin working on your project.
Design can take a few days or a few weeks,
depending on the complexity of the job and the number of pieces
involved. We will give you an estimate of how long this phase
Review and Edit Phase
Recognizing that all customers are different,
we will work with you until we arrive at a design that meets your
needs. We provide .pdf or .jpg proofs for most jobs.
When you are satisfied the work
has been done to your satisfaction, we will provide you with a
convenient approval form that you will sign. Once you accept your
proof and pay the balance, we can move ahead to the final production
Final Production Phase
At this stage we will complete the project
as specified including printing, binding and delivery of the product(s).
We can send the finished documents or designs via e-mail, or in
the form of media you specify (i.e. floppy, zip, or CD-ROM disks).
Please allow additional time for off-set printing projects. If
you prefer, you can use a printer of your choosing. We will
be glad to forward the files to them.
